Menu #3: Green onion pancake (葱油饼 - cōngyóubǐng)
The literal translation of this is spring onion/scallion (cōng), oil (yóu), pancake/ flatbread (bǐng), which pretty much describes what this is made up of. It’s more accurate to call it a flatbread, as it’s made from dough rather than batter that is used for pancakes. Added to the dough is oil and the spring onion, which is then rolled out into a circular shape and fried in a pan to create the crispy, flaky, savoury and tasty pancake snack.

A Plate of Deliciousness
My mom made CHOW MEIN with green onions and bean sprouts. This is typically eaten in the mornings with congee! Mmmm.
